Kaspars V. is a seasoned expert in transnational organized crime and corruption, currently serving as the EU-ACT 2 Regional Coordinator for Central Asia at CIVIPOL since October 2023. Previously, Kaspars held roles as an Independent Subject Matter Expert with the Global Initiative Against Transnational Organized Crime, and an International Consultant with UNODC, focusing on strengthening criminal justice responses in Central Asia. With extensive experience in law enforcement, including serving as a Senior Specialist at Valsts ieņēmumu dienests and coordinating international investigations, Kaspars has developed notable expertise in economic and financial crime. Educational qualifications include a Master's Degree in Social Sciences with a focus on Economics from Latvijas Universitate, advanced training in managing international financial investigations from the OECD, and a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice from the National Police Academy.
