Sven Schumacher

Sven Schumacher has a diverse and extensive work experience. Sven began their career in 2001 at Union Asset Management Holding AG, where they worked as an In-house Legal Counsel until 2005. Sven then joined DZ PRIVATBANK (Schweiz) AG, where they held various roles, including In-house Legal Counsel, Manager Legal & Tax, and ultimately became the Head of Tax, Legal & Compliance from 2008 to 2015. Since 2015, Sven has been working at the Global Legal Entity Identifier Foundation (GLEIF), initially as a General Counsel and later taking on additional responsibilities as Chief Compliance Officer, Head of HR, and Head of Accreditation.

Sven Schumacher's education history begins in 1992 when they graduated from Leibniz-Gymnasium in Offenbach am Main with a University Entrance Diploma (Abitur). From 1992 to 1998, they attended Goethe University Frankfurt, where they studied Law and obtained their first Legal State Exam (1. juristisches Staatsexamen) degree. In 1998, they briefly studied Philosophy at Goethe University Frankfurt. In 1999, they attended District Court Darmstadt and completed their Bar Exam (2. juristisches Staatsexamen) degree. In 2000, they attended the German University of Administrative Science (DHV) in Speyer, focusing on management activities in international organizations, associations, government, politics, and business.
