Abby Norton Krane

Abby Norton Krane has held a variety of positions in the fields of Information Technology, Programming, and Geology. In 2021, they began working as a Technical Program Manager, Technical Sales Consultant, and Technical Trainer for Global Lynx USA. In 2022, they became an Information Technology (IT) and Programming Adult Education Instructor at Polaris Career Center. From 2013 to 2017, Abby worked at Pins and Needles as a Sewing Instructor, Sewing Machine Sales, and Customer Service Representative. In 2017, they started their own business, Krane Kreations LLC, providing customization services using specialized equipment hardware and software. From 2010 to 2013, they were an Adjunct Professor in the Earth Science department at Cuyahoga Community College. From 2008 to 2010, Abby was a Geology Doctoral Candidate and Teaching Assistant at Michigan State University. Finally, from 2001 to 2008, they were a Research Assistant at the University of Toledo.

Abby Norton Krane has a diverse educational background. Abby received their PhD in Geological Sciences from Michigan State University in 2011. Prior to that, they obtained a Cert in Geographic Information Systems and Applied Geographics from The University of Toledo in 2008. Abby also obtained an MS in Geology from The University of Toledo in 2008, and a BS in Geology from the same university in 2005. In 2004, they studied Sedimentary and Coastal Geology at James Cook University.
