Principal Naval Architect at Global Maritime

Anastasios (Tasos) Atsonios has a diverse work experience in the maritime industry. Anastasios (Tasos) started their career in 2004 as an Assistant Engineer (fitter) at SPYRIS Ship Repairs & Spare Parts. In 2009, they worked as an Assistant 'Spare Parts' Coordinator (Technical Department) at Chartworld. In 2014, they joined Orcades Marine Management Consultants Ltd as a Naval Architect and then moved on to Global Maritime in the same role. Tasos progressed to become a Senior Naval Architect at Global Maritime from 2017 to 2021. Currently, they hold the position of Principal Naval Architect at Global Maritime.

Anastasios (Tasos) Atsonios has a BSc Degree in Naval Architecture from the Technical Educational Institute (TEI) of Athens, which they obtained from 2005 to 2012. Anastasios (Tasos) also holds an MSc Degree in Marine Engineering from the University of Strathclyde, which they acquired in 2012 and 2013. Additionally, they have several certifications including a Medical Certificate of Fitness for Offshore Work & Using CA-EBS Training Work from Everwell Occupational Health obtained in August 2020, an Offshore S-Cape certification from Petans Limited, and a Minimum Industry Safety Training (MIST) certification from AIS Training obtained in August 2018. Anastasios (Tasos) also has certifications for OPITO FOET & OPITO FOET with CA-EBS from AIS Training, acquired in August 2018, and a Certificate of Proficiency in Personal Survival Techniques from the Department of Maritime Studies, Stromness, Orkney Islands obtained in 2014.
