Hamilton Monteiro

Hamilton Monteiro has over 30 years of experience in the medical industry. Currently, they are working as a Business Development Manager for Latin America at Global Medical Solutions (GMS), where they focus on developing Nuclear Medicine and Radiology products in the LATAM region. Hamilton is responsible for market analysis, product launch, marketing and commercial planning, and regulatory affairs expertise.

Prior to their current role, Hamilton worked at BD as a Business Development Manager for Latin America. Hamilton was responsible for developing the business for infusion pumps, creating and implementing marketing plans, and hiring local sales and clinical teams.

Before joining BD, Hamilton worked at Fresenius Kabi as a Product Manager for Infusion Technology, where they played a key role in increasing market share for infusion pumps in various clinical segments. Hamilton also worked at Lifemed as a Product Manager, where they focused on increasing market share for infusion pumps and managing lifecycle products.

Hamilton has also gained valuable experience at Philips Medical Systems and GE Healthcare, where they held positions as a Business Line Manager and Product Specialist, respectively.

Hamilton's career began at Instituto do Coração - InCor HCFMUSP, where they worked as a Nuclear Medicine Specialist. In this role, they were a member of the patient care team, responsible for diagnoses and treatments, nuclear medication preparation, clinical image acquisition and processing, and quality control for medical equipment.

Hamilton Monteiro earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho, spanning from 1984 to 1988. Following this, they pursued a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Biomedical Engineering from Universidade Estadual de Campinas, which they completed from 1993 to 1996. In 2008, Hamilton obtained an MBA degree in Strategy and Business from FGV - Fundação Getulio Vargas, concluding their studies in 2010.
