Alexis Smiley

Alexis Smiley is an experienced educator with a diverse background in instructional leadership and classroom teaching. Currently serving as Assistant Principal, Instructional Coach, and Testing Coordinator at Global Outreach Charter Academy since August 2018, Alexis Smiley previously worked as a 2nd Grade Teacher Department Head. From July 2017 to June 2019, Alexis Smiley was an Elementary School Teacher for Teach For America and held the position of 3rd Grade Teacher at Global Outreach Charter Academy from August 2017 to June 2018. Additionally, experience as an Americorps Member with City Year from July 2016 to June 2017 contributed to a strong foundation in education. Academic credentials include a Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Western Governors University (2018-2020) and a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology and Anthropology from Valdosta State University (2011-2016).
