Leah Townsend

Leah Townsend has extensive experience in accounting and financial reporting, having held senior roles at Global Payments Inc. from February 2016 to May 2023, including Senior Vice President of Accounting for North America Payments and Payroll, as well as Vice President and Assistant Controller positions. Prior to her tenure at Global Payments, Leah was a Pathbuilders Achieva® Mentee, participating in a program designed to develop high-potential female managers into senior leaders. Leah's earlier experience includes roles such as Corporate Reporting Manager at Schweitzer-Mauduit International, where significant cost reductions and time savings were achieved through in-house filings, and Senior Research Analyst at Glass Lewis & Co., where contributions helped elevate the company’s recognition in the financial advisory space. Leah began her career as a Manager of Financial Reporting at Qwest Communications International. Leah holds a BSBA and MAC in Accounting from UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School.
