Ryan Weide

Ryan Weide is a Quality and Compliance Specialist and Certification Specialist at Global Seafood Alliance since October 2022. Prior experience includes working as a Technical Intern at the National Fisheries Institute from May 2022 to October 2022, where Ryan supported projects on seafood regulations in the US and researched global IUU fishing trends. Ryan served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant and a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Miami from November 2021 to May 2022, contributing to course management and archival research. Additionally, an Education Volunteer role at the North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher from October 2016 to February 2020 involved public education on marine conservation. Ryan holds a Master of Professional Science in Aquaculture from the University of Miami Rosenstiel School and dual Bachelor's degrees in Marine Biology and German from the University of North Carolina Wilmington. Educational experiences also include studies at Paris Lodron Universität Salzburg and Hochschule Bremen.
