Peter Zapf

CIO at Global Sources

Peter Zapf has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Peter started their career as the CEO of AsiaCommerce in 2000 before moving on to work as an Equity Research analyst at Bear Stearns in 1999. At Bear Stearns, they were responsible for covering publicly listed companies and evaluating private companies. After that, Peter joined Global Sources in 2001 and held various roles including VP eCommerce and VP Community Development. Peter played a key role in developing digital strategies, improving collaboration between business units and IT departments, and launching cross-border ecommerce transactional offerings. Most recently, they have been working as a self-directed individual since 2017.

Peter Zapf earned their Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and Engineering and Public Policy from Carnegie Mellon University, which they attended from 1986 to 1990. Peter later pursued their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree at Thunderbird School of Global Management from 1995 to 1996.
