Kuntal Roy

Kuntal Roy is an experienced communications professional specializing in climate and energy with a current position as Asia Regional Team Lead, Senior Associate, and Bangladesh Communications Lead at the Global Strategic Communications Council since October 2019. Previously, Kuntal served as a Freelance In-country Analyst at Euromonitor International, focusing on sectors such as alcohol and tobacco, as well as agri-based commodities from June 2019 to September 2021. Kuntal's early career included roles as a Staff Reporter at The Daily Prothom Alo, where investigative reporting on war crimes and legal affairs was a primary focus, and as an Assistant Monitoring Officer at the Management and Resources Development Initiative. Kuntal's editorial experience was further developed as a Sub-editor at The Daily Janakantha. Kuntal holds a Master of Arts in Human Rights from the University of Gothenburg and has completed Master's and Bachelor's degrees in Government and Politics from Jahangirnagar University.
