Leo Barasi is an experienced communications professional specializing in climate change. Currently serving as the Climate Impacts Director at the Global Strategic Communications Council since 2016, Leo supports scientists and researchers in conveying the effects of climate change. Leo co-founded the Climate Fiction Prize and has authored the book "The Climate Majority," which explores public apathy toward climate action. Previous roles include leadership positions in communications and strategy at DHA Communications and the UK Drug Policy Commission, where significant political and media relationships were established. Leo's background also includes work with Oxfam and insights gained from a Master’s Degree in Climate Change Management from Birkbeck, University of London, and a BA in Modern History and Politics from the University of Oxford.
