Frank Nieves

Practice Leader, GTM Training Institute at Global Tax Management

With nearly 25 years of experience in the field, Frank has honed his expertise in addressing tax, accounting, reporting, and compliance matters for multinational corporations of all sizes. Frank has led GTM’s internal training and competency development initiatives for more than a decade, with an emphasis on process improvement and the goal of building the capabilities of GTM’s own personnel. Leveraging this training framework, Frank serves as the practice leader of the GTM Training Institute, responsible for bringing this innovative program to market for the benefit of in-house tax personnel.

He is a member of AICPA, PICPA, and Financial Manager’s Society. He is also Co-Founder of the Association of Latino Professionals for America in Philadelphia.

As a Lead Tax Service practitioner for GTM, Frank is also responsible for delivering compliance and consulting services including federal and state tax return preparation, special project, and income tax provision assignments for clients in the retail textile, medical device manufacturing, gas and water utility, and consumer financial services industries. He assists clients with interim and year-end tax provision calculations, process improvement review projects, valuation allowance assessment and documentation, accounting method review and change filings, accounting for acquired intangibles, contingent consideration, share-based compensation matters, and acquisition costs analysis.

Prior to joining GTM, Frank spent his career at KPMG as a senior manager in the financial services practice focusing on the banking, leasing, and credit card industries. Frank has broad experiences with tax accounting, SOX documentation and testing, and financial reporting, including long-term consulting assignments at large government sponsored entities and global mortgage originators and servicers. At KPMG, Frank was recognized as a highly effective mentor and leader.

Frank resides in Bryn Mawr, PA with his wife and their three children. He enjoys coaching his children’s activities, reading, basketball, chess, and karate.
