Peter Eisenberger

Co-Founder & Board Member at Global Thermostat

Peter Eisenberger has a diverse work experience in both academia and the private sector. Peter co-founded Global Thermostat in 2006 and served as a board member. The company aims to address climate change by developing solutions for capturing and removing CO2 from the atmosphere. In 2014, Eisenberger co-founded Elk Coast Institute, which focuses on mindful innovations to overcome resource limitations and create a harmonious future for society and ecosystems. Peter has also been a professor at Columbia University since 1996, previously holding a position as a professor of physics at Princeton University from 1989 to 1996. Prior to their academic career, Eisenberger worked at Exxon as a senior director in the corporate research lab. Peter started their career at Bell Laboratories in 1968, where they conducted research until 1981.

Peter Eisenberger obtained their Bachelor of Arts degree in Physics from Princeton University between the years 1959 and 1963. Following this, from 1963 to 1967, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Applied Physics at Harvard University.
