Ignasi Pérez Arnal has extensive experience in the architecture and construction industry. Ignasi is currently the Vice President of Operations for Europe at Globalbitz, where they lead the development of the staff augmentation business and specializes in staffing and hiring BIM experts. Prior to this role, they served as the Congress Director at REBUILD, organizing a national congress on advanced architecture and construction trends. Ignasi also founded and served as the CEO of BIM Academy Spain, which focuses on implementing BIM processes in the construction sector. Ignasi was also the Contents Director and co-founder of the European Building Summit Barcelona, an important congress focused on adopting BIM and industrialized construction practices. In addition, Ignasi has experience as a founder and partner at WITS Institute, GCC, General Communication Coordinator at NIBUG, and as the Managing Director at The PIF - Process Innovation Forum_Spanish Speaking Countries. Ignasi also served on the advisory committee of Espazio Magazine, offering advice on textile architecture and tensile structures. Ignasi has contributed to the implementation of BIM and the advancement of construction practices in Europe through their various roles and ventures.
Ignasi Pérez Arnal obtained a Master of Science (MSc) in Diseño y Comunicación from Universitat Pompeu Fabra in 2008-2009. Prior to that, they completed a Master MBA en Gestión de Despachos profesionales, del Estudio a la Empresa with a focus on Architecture, Sustainability, and International Cooperation at Universitat Internacional de Catalunya from 2006-2007. Ignasi Pérez Arnal received their undergraduate degree, a Titulado in Arquitectura, from Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya from 1982-1992. Additionally, they have also obtained several certifications including BIM Manager from CAATEEB in 2015 and THE INTERNATIONAL BIM CONFERENCE from Universitat Politècnica de València in 2016. Ignasi Pérez Arnal has further certifications in various areas such as entrepreneurship, permaculture, sustainable construction, and environmental impact studies.
