Ümit Özdemir

Ümit Özdemir has a diverse range of work experience, spanning multiple industries and roles. Starting in 2007, they began their career as a Sales Consultant at Teleperformance. Ümit then moved on to Blockbuster, where they worked as a 1st Sales Assistant until 2012. During this time, they also served as a Student Assistant at PFA Pension, specifically in the Overførsler department.

In 2014, Özdemir took on multiple roles, including a position as an Assistant Auditor at Revisionsfirmaet N. K. Mortensen A/S, where they reviewed small companies' accounts and ensured the validity and legality of their financial records. Ümit also worked as a Weekend Salesman at IDEmøbler during this time.

In 2015, Özdemir became a Project Controller at the Technical University of Denmark, where they assisted with financial controlling, accounting, and project management. Ümit later became a Business Controller at DONG Energy, focusing on wind power operations and asset controlling.

From 2017 to 2021, Özdemir worked at Alm. Brand as a Finance Business Partner, responsible for delivering financial transparency and controlling IT spend.

In 2021, Özdemir joined Nets Group as a Senior Finance Business Partner, overseeing revenue and profitability for various markets. Ümit eventually became the Head of Commercial Finance Business Partnering, responsible for commercial controlling of revenue across multiple regions and acting as an advisor for driving business decisions.

Currently, Özdemir holds the position of Finance Director, NetCo Group at GlobalConnect, where they oversee a comprehensive financial portfolio and serves as a strategic business partner to the EVP. Ümit is responsible for managing revenues exceeding €200 million and a spend exceeding €300 million.

From 2006 to 2009, Özdemir attended Copenhagen Business College and obtained a High School Diploma in Economics & Math.

In the period of 2009 to 2012, Özdemir pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Economics and Business Administration from Copenhagen Business School.

Lastly, from 2012 to 2015, Özdemir obtained a Master's Degree in Finance and Strategic Management from Copenhagen Business School.

Additionally, in 2022, Özdemir acquired a certification in "Leading Others" from the Leadership Pipeline Institute.
