Ed Kaste

Ed Kaste is Senior Vice President of Product Management for GF, a position he was appointed to in 2022. He leads the company’s new product management organization, created to focus on the competitiveness of semiconductor chip features and services on differentiated technology platforms, go-to-market readiness, product marketing and delivery timelines that meet the needs of end-markets GF serves: smart mobile devices, personal computing, home and industrial Internet of Things (IoT), automotive, communications infrastructure and data center.

Previously, Mr. Kaste was Vice President of Industrial and Multi-Market in GF’s Automotive, Industrial and Multi-Market (AIM) business unit. In that role, he was responsible for expanding GF’s business in the fast-growing Home and Industrial IoT end-market, where he led a team providing customers with differentiated connectivity, compute, human-machine interaction, and power management. Prior to that position, Mr. Kaste led GF’s FDX business, and also held leadership roles at GF’s state-of-the-art semiconductor manufacturing facility in Malta, New York.

Before joining GF in 2015, Mr. Kaste held leadership positions in advanced semiconductor research, development and manufacturing for IBM’s microelectronics unit in Fishkill, New York and Burlington, Vermont.

Mr. Kaste earned a bachelor’s degree in Materials Science and Engineering and a master’s degree in Engineering Management from Cornell University.
