Jin-Yong Cai

Jin-Yong is a partner at Global Infrastructure Partners (“GIP”).

Prior to joining GIP, Jin-Yong was a partner at TPG Capital focusing on infrastructure investment opportunities in emerging economies. Between 2012 to 2016, Jin-Yong served as CEO of International Finance Corporation of the World Bank Group. Prior to that, he spent 12 years at Goldman Sachs, was a partner in investment banking, led the China business and served in several senior positions. Before Goldman Sachs, he was with Morgan Stanley for 6 years, was a member of the team which started the first investment bank in China in 1995 through a joint venture. He started his career in the World Bank in 1990.

Jin-Yong holds a Ph.D. from Boston University and a B.S. from Peking University.
