Katherina Babich

Katherina Babich has over 30 years of experience in semiconductor technology, currently serving as Director of TCAD, Process Emulations and Technology Infrastructure at GlobalFoundries since 2010, where expertise includes design-process interactions and PDK Si validation for 22FDX and 12FDX technologies. Previously, Katherina worked at IBM T.J. Watson Research Center from 1995 to 2009, holding various roles including Senior Engineer Scientist, Advisory Engineer, and Staff Engineer, focusing on process integration for advanced devices and thin film optical characterization. Early career experience at Bell Labs involved developing sputtering deposition processes for x-ray mask fabrication. Katherina holds a Master’s degree in Material Science with a specialization in Polymer Technology from Mendeleyev University of Chemical Technology of Russia.
