J. Alberto Palacios is a seasoned and accomplished professional who leads Globalsat Group as the Executive Chairman & CEO. He founded the company in 1999 and has since grown it into a leading multinational corporation serving the Americas market with a comprehensive range of satellite solutions for various sectors and applications.. With decades of experience in the Mobile Satellite Services (MSS) industry, he also works as a high-level consultant for MSS-related projects and is part of the MSUA (Mobile Satellite Users Association) board.

Mr. Palacios is passionate about driving growth and creating value for shareholders, as well as promoting satellite mobility innovation and development worldwide. As a strategic leader and visionary entrepreneur, he has guided the company through the dynamic and complex landscape of emerging markets, establishing affiliate operations throughout the Western Hemisphere. Through strategic partnerships with global satellite operators, service providers, hardware manufacturers and a network of distributors, his buildup and leadership of an especially agile and cohesive multi-country team has resulted in partners increasing their market access and customers being able to access innovative and reliable services with global coverage. Under his vision, the group he founded has become a leading multinational organization, especially in mission-critical verticals such as emergency response and utility command and control.

Palacios is known to have a “boots on the ground” approach to customer experience. Case in point: he chartered an airplane and flew satellite equipment (and himself) to Puerto Rico after Hurricane Maria.
