Semyon Galichenko

Semyon Galichenko has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and companies. Semyon started their career at Irkutsk Regional Hospital as a System Administrator and Assistant in January 2011, where they worked until January 2016. Semyon then joined Irkutsk State University in March 2013 as a System Administrator and Developer, a role they held until May 2021.

Starting from 2019, Semyon took on remote positions, first at Oberon (startup) as a Linux System Administrator from April 2019 to April 2022, and then at PolyOmica as a Linux System Administrator / DevOps from September 2019 to the current date. In June 2020, they also took on a Consultant / Linux System Administrator role at Novosibirsk State University (NSU), which they held until June 2022.

In May 2021, Semyon joined FirstVDS as a Site Reliability Engineer, where they worked until April 2022. Lastly, in September 2022, they joined GlobalSign as an Infrastructure Engineer, their current position.

Semyon Galichenko earned a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from Irkutsk State University, where they studied from 2008 to 2013. In addition to their formal education, they have obtained several certifications in various fields. In 2014, they completed the "Machine Learning" certification from Coursera, followed by "An Introduction to Interactive Programming in Python" in the same year. In 2018, they obtained certifications in "Neural Networks and Deep Learning," "Structuring Machine Learning Projects," and "Sequence Models" from Coursera. Most recently, in 2021, they obtained the "Linux Performance Tuning" certification from LinkedIn.
