Maria Starostina has extensive work experience in various industries. Maria began their career as a Technician at Moscow State University, where they conducted research on aqua landscapes. Maria then worked as a Lead Researcher and Researcher at the White City Project, where they participated in a wide research collaboration. Maria also worked as an Architect at the Institute of Urban Planning.

Moving forward, Maria gained experience in the hospitality and tourism industry. Maria worked as an International Projects Coordinator at HELIOPARK Hotels & Resorts. Later, they joined JLL as a Team Assistant in the Hotels & Hospitality Group. Following their time at JLL, Maria worked as a Junior Consultant in the Hospitality & Tourism Group at CBRE Russia.

Maria's passion for illustration led their to work as a Freelance Illustrator, where they showcased their artistic skills and creativity. Currently, they are employed at GlobalStep as a Senior LQA Test Lead. Prior to this role, they held positions as an LQA Test Lead and an LQA Tester, where they were responsible for testing games on multiple platforms and ensuring linguistic and compliance quality.

Throughout their career, Maria has shown a strong ability to lead teams, manage projects, and deliver high-quality work. Their diverse skill set and experiences make their a valuable asset in various industries.

Maria Starostina has a diverse education history. Maria began their academic journey at Lomonosov Moscow State University (MSU) from 2005 to 2010, where they obtained their Bachelor's degree in Geoecology. Following this, they pursued further studies at EPFL (École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne) from 2010 to 2011, specializing in Environmental Sciences and Engineering. In 2011, Maria enrolled in the University of Lausanne - UNIL for a one-year Master's program in Urban Planning.

In 2016, Maria obtained two certifications to enhance their language skills. Maria received the TEF Canada - Test d'évaluation de Français pour le Canada, Niveau B2 from CCI Paris. Additionally, they achieved an overall Band Score of 8.0 in the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) examination, obtained from IELTS BRITISHCOUNCIL.

More recently, from 2020 to 2022, Maria attended Dawson College, completing an AEC Program in Independent Video Game Design. This program likely provided their with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in video game design.
