Kar-Lon Wong

Kar-Lon Wong has extensive experience in the broadcasting industry, starting their career at TVB as an Engineer in the Broadcasting Department. Kar-Lon then worked at MediaCorp as an Executive Engineer in the Engineering Division before joining Singapore Press Holdings as Vice President of Engineering and Operation at SPH MediaWorks. At SPH, they were responsible for setting up technical facilities and training a team to operate the channels.

Kar-Lon later joined Thomson Grass Valley as the Area Customer Support Manager for ASEAN, where they achieved several signed Service Level Agreements and established new support service engineer teams in Singapore and Malaysia.

Kar-Lon then worked at Disney ABC Television Group as a Senior Manager in On-Air Operations and Post Production, overseeing major projects such as the conversion to a digital file-based infrastructure and the transition to Apple Final Cut Pro Studio.

After Disney, they joined Magna Systems & Engineering as a System Sales Manager, where they managed project tenders, trade shows, and sales follow-ups in the broadcast industry.

Most recently, Kar-Lon worked at Globecast as a Senior Manager in Pre-Sales for Asia, responsible for winning major broadcasting service deals and providing technical proposals for comprehensive broadcasting solutions.

Throughout their career, Kar-Lon has gained experience in various areas of the broadcasting industry, including technical proposal provision, business development, customer requirements analysis, and team management. Kar-Lon has worked with a wide range of clients and developed strong relationships with product vendors, systems integrators, and service providers.

Kar-Lon Wong earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Iowa State University, studying from 1990 to 1993. After that, they attended the University of Birmingham from 2010 to 2012, where they obtained a Master's degree in Business Administration.
