May Al-Karooni

May Al-Karooni is the Founder and CEO of Globechain, a multi award-winning reuse marketplace that connects enterprises to charities and people to redistribute unneeded items, creating social impact data. May is responsible for the external reuse, internal reuse, and leasing services offered by Globechain. May Al-Karooni founded Globechain in 2015 with the mission to reduce global waste and generate impact.

In 2018, they participated in the Unreasonable Fellowship program, which supports entrepreneurs who leverage profit to solve social and environmental challenges.

Prior to their work at Globechain and Unreasonable, May Al-Karooni had various roles in companies such as Close Brothers Group, WEALH at Work (formerly JP Morgan INVEST), Tracc Films, MySkip Corporation Limited, Close Brothers Investment Limited, Matrix, Friends Provident, and Alfa Romeo. Their roles included business development, marketing, strategic operations, fundraising, finance raising, marketing consultancy, and broker consulting. May received recognition as "Broker Consultant of the Year" for two consecutive years during their time at Friends Provident.

From 1998 to 2001, May Al-Karooni pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accountancy and Finance.
