Bill Brown

Bill Brown has a diverse work experience, with their most recent position being the CISO & CIO at Abacus Insights since January 2020. In this role, they are responsible for leading the healthcare data integration platform to improve patient experiences, population health, and reduce healthcare costs.

Before joining Abacus Insights, Bill was an Individual Director Member at NACD (National Association of Corporate Directors) starting in December 2017. Bill Brown holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics, which they obtained from Bridgewater State University between 1974 and 1977. Bill later pursued their Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the Babson F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business from 1978 to 1984.

In addition to their formal education, Bill has also obtained several certifications. In 2018, they earned the CERT Certificate in Cybersecurity Oversight from the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD). In 2016, they obtained the CCSK - Certificate of Cloud Security (Guidance V3.0) from the Cloud Security Alliance. In 2009, they completed the Assessment Certification Workshop (ACW) at the Center for Creative Leadership. Lastly, in 2013, they became a Certified Scrum Product Owner through the Scrum Alliance.
