Takeshi Igarashi

Takeshi Igarashi is an experienced investment professional specializing in impact investing, currently working at GLOBIS Corporation as part of the KIBOW Social Investment Fund, Japan's first impact VC fund. Since August 2022, Takeshi has been responsible for deal sourcing, due diligence, presentations to investment committees, and impact management, notably leading a $300k impact investment in a child's mental healthcare startup. Previously, Takeshi served as Finance Manager at Big Society Capital and held the same title at GLOBIS Corporation, where significant investments included $500k in a Cambodian education startup and a pioneering investment in Japan’s affordable housing sector. Takeshi has also worked in research roles at Harvard Business School and the Global Steering Group for Impact Investment, and as Chief Researcher at the Cabinet Office of the Government of Japan, contributing to key policy designs and publications on social finance. Academic qualifications include an MBA from Saïd Business School, a certificate from the Skoll Centre for Social Entrepreneurship, and a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Keio University.
