Sheldon de Jager

Sheldon de Jager has a strong background in finance and auditing, with experience in various leadership roles. Sheldon most recently served as the Chief Financial Officer at Globus family of brands starting in September 2022. Prior to that, they worked at DaVita as the Senior Director of Corporate Finance from July 2021 to September 2022, and as the Director of Corporate Finance (Capital Structure) from January 2019 to July 2021. Sheldon also held the position of Vice President of Financial Planning & Analysis, and Treasurer at Westmoreland Coal Company from April 2017 to January 2019. Sheldon was the Director of Finance & Assistant Treasurer at Marathon Petroleum Corporation from January 2015 to April 2017. Sheldon's experience also includes roles as Senior Manager of Finance & FP&A at MarkWest Energy Partners, L.P. from December 2012 to December 2014, and as the Senior Supply Chain Finance Manager and Senior Financial Reporting Manager at Molson Coors Brewing (UK) Ltd from March 2010 to September 2012. Sheldon started their career at Deloitte, where they served as an Audit Senior/Audit Manager from October 2005 to February 2010.

Sheldon de Jager completed a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) degree in Business Administration, Management, and Accounting at Rhodes University from 1999 to 2001. In 2002, they also obtained a Professional Diploma in Accounting (PDipAcc) from the same university. In addition to their degrees, Sheldon de Jager holds certifications as a Certified Public Accountant (Colorado, USA) from the Colorado Society of Certified Public Accountants and as a former Chartered Accountant of South Africa (SAICA CA(SA)) from SAICA.
