David Jenniex has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles.

David began their career in 2004 at Mission Control Productivity, LLC as a System Administrator/Developer, where they maintained servers, updated web applications, and provided computer support.

In 2006, they joined CriticalControl Solutions Inc. as a Systems Analyst, primarily working as a PHP programmer for the web-based SCADA system, Netflow. David also took on a mentoring role within the company.

From 2008 to 2010, they served as the Lead Programmer at Officejobs.com, overseeing various web development projects, including site architecture, backend development, and technical writing.

At Getty Images, from 2010 to 2015, they held the role of Principal Developer, making key decisions on system architecture and evaluating new technologies. David also played a hands-on role with their team in carrying out user stories.

David then worked at Terein Inc. as a Principal Developer from 2015 to 2016, where they contributed to the design and development of a centralized data capture and reporting tool for the industrial IoT market.

In 2016, they served as a Senior Software Developer at Blackline Safety, developing safety portal applications using various technologies, including NodeJS, PHP, Python, and AWS.

From 2017 to 2022, they joined Benevity and took on multiple roles. Initially, as a Senior Web Developer, they integrated a new Drupal 8 stack with the legacy Drupal 6 stack using various technologies. David then transitioned to the role of Senior Web Operations Specialist, helping the Operations team migrate to AWS and implementing infrastructure as code practices. Finally, as the Site Reliability Cloud Architect, they led the infrastructure as code SDLC and site reliability engineering for web applications and APIs.

Most recently, in 2022, they joined GlossGenius as a Senior Production Engineer.

David Jenniex began their education at Memorial University of Newfoundland in 1998, where they completed a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Computer Science in 2003. Following this, from 2003 to 2004, David pursued a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) in Secondary Education and Teaching from the same university.
