Ben Lummis is an experienced education leader currently serving as Superintendent of Schools for Gloucester Public Schools since July 2020. Previously, Lummis held the role of Interim Superintendent of Schools for Brookline Public Schools and served as Special Assistant for Strategy and Performance at The Public Schools of Brookline, where efforts focused on strategic planning and improving communications. Lummis has also contributed to the field as Vice President of Education & Professional Development Programs at EF Education First, and as Vice President at the National Center on Time and Learning, where Ben played a pivotal role in expanding learning time in schools. Additional experience includes directorship at the Center for Collaborative Education and business development at Delphi Forums. Lummis holds a Master of Arts in Education from Tufts University and a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and Economics from the University of Michigan.
