Pete Belk

Pete Belk is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in environmental management and sustainability. Currently serving as a Natural Flood Management Partnership Officer at Gloucestershire County Council since May 2023, Pete collaborates with partners to enhance community resilience to flooding through natural processes. Previously, as the Lead Adviser for Catchment Sensitive Farming at Natural England and the Circular Economy Director at Business in the Community, Pete has driven initiatives addressing climate change and promoting sustainable business practices. Earlier roles include key positions at Pilotlight, The Collective in Sierra Leone, and powerPerfector Plc, focusing on strategic planning, capacity building, and energy efficiency solutions. Pete holds an MSc in Sustainable Food & Natural Resources from the Centre for Alternative Technology and a BSc in Countryside Management from Newcastle University.
