General Counsel at Glowforge

Megan Lutes is the current General Counsel at Glowforge. Megan also leads the legal function and the HR/people team function. As part of the Executive team, they work as a strategic business partner with other senior leadership to scale the company during a period of rapid growth.

Glowforge is a Seattle-based consumer technology company that created the first consumer 3D laser printer for the home. The ecosystem of materials, software, and a desktop laser makes it simple to create custom clothing, stunning artwork, full-sized furniture, games with your children, and much more. The cloud-based software allows consumers to go from a drawing or digital file to a physical object in minutes, at the push of a button. Glowforge uses subtractive technology to cut and engrave products from hundreds of durable and beautiful materials like wood, leather, acrylic, paper, fabric – even chocolate.

Megan Lutes has been with Glowforge for just over a year. Prior to that, they were the Founder of Diversity University. Diversity University is in the business of helping organizations on equity and inclusion in the workplace. They elevate women and minorities who have been working in the diversity space. They are a group of professionals who understand the importance of maintaining a business while integrating and moving forward DEI initiatives. They provide customizable and modular solutions that meet any organizations budget and capacity.

Megan Lutes has also been a Board Member for Providence Hospice of Seattle for just over a year. And finally, they are an Executive Advisory Board Member for IGNITE Worldwide.

Megan Lutes has a Bachelor's degree from Gonzaga University in Psychology, Criminal Justice, and Political Science. Megan also has a J.D. from Seattle University School of Law.
