David Mitchell

David’s career in the nightlife industry started in the early 2000s in Hartford, CT. After gaining experience as a VIP doorman, David quickly moved into an ownership role, opening his first venue, OneEleven Lounge in 2008. Within a year, David added a second venue in Springfield, MA. During this time David also led ongoing consulting projects with other venues in the area.

After the late 2000’s financial crisis, David accepted a position in New York City with China Grill Management. During his time with CGM, he oversaw multiple nightclub properties including Plunge on the Gansevoort Hotel rooftop and the Empire Hotel Rooftop.

The experience he gained in the New York nightlife scene led him to an opportunity with Cielo nightclub in 2013. David advanced to the Director of Operations position for both Cielo and Output nightclub in Brooklyn, where he continued to amass local, national, and international awards for the venues.

In 2019, David relocated to Las Vegas to join Hakkasan Group at their 75,000-square-foot, award-winning nightclub Omnia. But in 2020, he returned to New York City, where he led Avant Gardner/Brooklyn Mirage through COVID and a relaunch in the post-COVID world. The successful relaunch of the venue led it to national awardment including “DJ Mag’s Best of North America” award for “ Best Large Club”.

In 2022, after 20-plus successful years in hospitality, David took his skills to the consulting world by advising on multiple hospitality startup tech platforms like Velvet.io, Archie, and BookTech Labs.

Following his success within the hospitality tech world, David was tapped by Glownet.com to become their Vice President of North America and oversee Glownet’s re-entry into the North American market.

David currently resides in New York City with his wife and 6-year-old son.
