Ann Fieuw has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning various roles and companies. Ann started their career as a Practising Physician in the UK and Belgium from July 1991 to September 2007. Ann then worked as a Medical Advisor in Cardiology and Oncology at MSD from September 2007 to May 2011. From May 2011 to October 2016, they served as a Clinical Research Medical Advisor and later became the Therapeutic Area Head for Cardiometabolic at Novartis. Ann Fieuw joined Galapagos in October 2016 and held several positions including Medical Lead/Study Physician, Global Lead Study Physician Phase 3, and Medical Director Translational Medicine. Currently, they are the Senior Medical Director of Clinical Research at Galapagos, starting from April 2023. Additionally, they briefly worked as an Academic Assistant at the University of Ghent from September 2003 to July 2005, where they contributed to the development of a web-based educational tool for students in Occupational Health.
Ann Fieuw obtained a Doctor in Medicine degree from Vrije Universiteit Brussel between 1984 and 1991. Ann then pursued further education and earned a Master's degree in Occupational Health and Industrial Hygiene from Vrije Universiteit Brussel between 2001 and 2005. Additionally, they completed their GP Specialty Training at Cambridge UK from 1997 to 2001, and obtained a DRCOG degree in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecology UK in 1998 and 1999.
