Magdalena Petkova

Magdalena Petkova has a diverse work experience in the medical field. Magdalena currently serves as the Head of Phase I Clinical Research at Galapagos since June 2020. Previously, they held the position of Medical Director Translational Medicine at Galapagos from December 2016 to June 2020. Before joining Galapagos, they worked as a Medical Director at Ablynx from January 2016 to November 2016, where they played a pivotal role in translating clinical research concepts into objectives and implementing clinical development strategies. Prior to that, they worked at SGS as a Senior Investigator from January 2015 to December 2015, an Investigator from January 2013 to December 2014, and as a Clinical Research Physician from October 2010 to December 2012. Magdalena also gained experience as a Clinical Research Physician at University Hospital Leuven from October 2009 to October 2010 and as an Emergency Physician at MBAL Dr. Ivan Seliminski from May 2003 to May 2006. Magdalena started their career as a General Practitioner in private practice from January 2001 to April 2003.

Magdalena Petkova attended PMG Sliven from an unknown start year until 1994. Following this, they studied at Medical University Plovdiv from 1994 to 2000, earning an MD degree.
