Reto Zbinden

Reto Zbinden has a diverse work experience in the field of scientific research. Reto began their career as a Lab Technician in Molecular Plant Biology at the University of Zurich in 2001. Following this, they worked as a Research Associate in Toxinology at Zurich University of Applied Sciences (ZHAW) / SPIEZ LABORATORY for three years from 2006 to 2009. In 2012, they became a Research Technician at the Institute of Biochemistry at the University of Zurich. From 2013 to 2021, Reto served as a Senior Research Associate at LimmaTech Biologics AG. Currently, since 2021, they are employed at GlycoEra AG, initially as a Scientist and currently in the role of Senior Scientist.

Reto Zbinden began their education at the Swiss Federal Research Station for Agroecology and Agriculture in 1998, where they specialized in Biology and earned a Lab Technician degree. Reto then attended Zurich University of Applied Sciences (ZHAW) from 2002 to 2005, where they specialized in Biological Chemistry and obtained a degree known as Chemiker FH, corresponding to a Bachelor of Chemistry. Reto continued their education at the University of Zurich from 2010 to 2012, where they pursued a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Biochemistry.
