Michael Palmieri has worked in a variety of roles in the finance and infrastructure sectors since 1981. Michael began their career as an Engineer at GS Caltex, followed by a Senior Associate role at Merrill Lynch Investment Banking in 1987. In 1991, they moved to Energy Investors Funds as a Manager of Marketing, where they originated and screened power project deals, co-led due diligence, built financial models, and wrote investment recommendations. From 1993 to 1997, Michael worked at the International Finance Corporation - World Bank Group as an Investment Officer. Here, they led project finance investment teams for electric utilities, power projects and private equity funds in 16 countries. In 1997, they joined Texas Pacific Group - Aqua International as a Principal. In 2002, Michael became the Managing Partner at Arch Capital Advisors, where they advised clients on capital raising, due diligence, deal structuring, valuation, start-ups, private equity fund formation, market studies and turnarounds. From 2007 to 2018, they were a Partner at KPMG - Infrastructure and Project Finance, where they managed a team of 25 consultants and grew the UAE and Oman infrastructure advisory business from less than $1 million/year to $6 million/year. In 2018, Michael became a Partner at American Infrastructure Partners, and in 2021 they joined Glydways as Senior Vice President Project Finance and Structuring. In this role, they lead Glydways project financing on all projects in development and is a member of the Glydways sales team. Michael overseas project financial modeling, project partnerships, project debt and equity raising, and project contract structuring including teaming agreements, preliminary development agreements, concession agreements and related project documentation.
Michael Palmieri received their MBA in Finance and International Business from Columbia University and their BsChe in Chemical Engineering from the University of Michigan. Michael also obtained a MSRB Series 50 License from the Securities Exchange Commission in May 2016.
