Brian Minie

Brian Minie has extensive work experience in the field of bioinformatics and data science. Brian is currently employed as a Principal Data Scientist at Glympse Bio, starting in 2022. Prior to this, they worked at the Novartis Institutes for BioMedical Research (NIBR) from 2013 to 2022, holding various roles. These roles included Principal Scientist I, Senior Scientist II, and Senior Scientist I. At NIBR, they specialized in data analysis and validation of assays for clinical trial samples, utilizing machine learning models and cloud-based tools. Brian also collaborated with bioinformaticians and led a lab focused on developing next-generation screening technologies. Earlier in their career, Brian worked at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard from 2007 to 2013. Here, they served as a Senior BioAutomation Engineer and Process Development Associate I/II. Overall, Brian's work experience showcases their expertise in bioinformatics, data analysis, and assay validation.

Brian Minie has an education history that includes multiple degrees and certifications. Brian obtained a Master of Applied Data Science (MADS) from the University of Michigan, studying data science, from 2020 to 2022. Prior to that, they completed a Master of Engineering (MEng) in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering at Tufts University from 2009 to 2012. Brian also received a Professional Certificate in Computer Programming (Java) from the Harvard Extension School from 2014 to 2016. Earlier in their education, they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from Framingham State University, graduating between 2003 and 2007.

In addition to their formal education, Brian Minie has also obtained two certifications. Brian completed the Python 3 Programming Specialization course from Coursera in March 2020 and received a Machine Learning certification from Coursera in November 2017.
