Ian Somosa has a diverse work experience in the field of analytics, business intelligence, and media planning. Ian started their career as a Media Planner/Buyer at MediaCom in December 2012, where they were responsible for planning advertising campaigns and procuring media space. Later, they joined GMA New Media, Inc. in June 2013 as a Junior Analyst, where they conceptualized and implemented new analysis techniques and monitored web traffic growth. In April 2016, Ian was promoted to the role of Head of Analytics/Business Intelligence at GMA New Media, Inc., where they continued to enhance data tracking techniques and optimize content strategy.
Ian Somosa has a diverse education history. In 2008, they began their academic journey at the University of the Philippines, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics in 2012. Ian continued their education at the same university and obtained a Master's degree in Applied Mathematics in 2014.
In 2018, Ian pursued a Professional Masters in Data Science (Analytics) at the University of the Philippines. Ian also holds various certifications that enhance their skills and knowledge in the field. Ian obtained the Google Analytics Individual Qualification in October 2017 and pursued additional certifications in customer analytics, mobile app analytics, advanced MS Excel capabilities, digital marketing, and search engine optimization. Most recently, in August 2021, Ian obtained a Search Engine Optimization Certification from Certified Digital Marketer.
