Dana Hernalsteen

Dana Hernalsteen is an experienced Landscape Architect currently working at GMB Architecture + Engineering since July 2019, where responsibilities include both landscape and site architecture. Dana has held leadership roles in the Michigan Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects, serving as Vice President of Education and Vice President of Membership from November 2015 to November 2020, focusing on advocacy and education for the profession. Previous professional experience includes positions as Site Designer at Hamilton Anderson Associates, Project Professional at Beckett & Raeder, Inc., and Land Planner at Felino Pascual and Associates, along with volunteer work on the Alternate Zoning Board of Appeals for the Charter Township of Harrison. Dana holds a Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture from Michigan State University and has supervised teams in various capacities, such as Student Supervisor at MSU Bakers and Horticulture Foreman for the City of Delhi.
