Christopher Heelan is a seasoned quantitative research analyst with a focus on machine learning and ESG research at GMO since July 2020. Prior to this role, Christopher was a Senior Quantitative Research Associate at Brown University from June 2011 to June 2020, where contributions included designing machine learning experiments within the Neuroscience Department and conducting PhD research on a high-performance medical system using FPGA technology. Additional experiences include internships at Vanderbilt University and DEKA Research & Development, where projects involved the development of embedded systems and statistical analysis of medical technologies. Christopher holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering, as well as multiple advanced degrees from Brown University and Vanderbilt University in engineering and innovation.
