Alexander Shopov

Alexander Shopov is an experienced software engineer with a diverse background in various roles within the technology industry. Currently serving as a Software Engineer II at Uber since January 2015, Alexander has also been the Coordinator of Bulgarian Translation for GNOME since January 2000. Previous positions include Senior Software Engineer at Cisco Systems, where work concentrated on the Quad/WebEx Social collaboration suite, and Senior Java Programmer at Javelin Group, focusing on Demandware support and development. Other notable experiences include positions at Gravis Bulgaria AD as a Senior Software Engineer, Idea Solutions OOD, Horizon IT Solutions OOD, and Latona Bulgaria AD, where leadership, team collaboration, and programming skills were leveraged. Alexander holds a qualification in Communication Technologies from the Technical University Sofia and a Master's degree in International Economic Relations from the University of National and World Economy.
