Kjartan Maraas

Kjartan Maraas has extensive experience in IT and systems architecture, currently serving as a System Architect at Oslo kommune, Utviklings- og kompetanseetaten since September 2001, focusing on the development and optimization of the municipality's IT platform. Alongside this role, Kjartan has been a long-term member of the GNOME Foundation, engaged in localization, translations, release management, and quality assurance since 2001. Prior experience includes positions at Oslo kommune Agency for Improvement and Development, where responsibilities encompassed various aspects of IT infrastructure, security, and management. Additionally, Kjartan has contributed to GNOME as a release team member and Bugsquad member from 1997 to 2007 and supported IT for Friundervisningen i Bergen as an IT consultant from 1995 to 1998. Educational pursuits include studies at the University of Bergen and the Western Norway University of Applied Sciences, complemented by a background in music from Buskerud Folkehøgskole.
