Shaun McCance

Shaun McCance is an experienced community manager and technical writer, currently serving as the CentOS Community Manager at Red Hat since October 2014, where notable contributions include building a robust contributor community around CentOS Stream and creating CentOS Connect, an annual conference for contributors. Additional roles at Red Hat include Community Documentation Specialist, focusing on enhancing open source documentation practices. Involvement with GNOME spans from 2003 to present, encompassing positions such as Developer and Technical Writer, as well as Documentation Team Leader for the GNOME Foundation. Shaun has also organized the Open Help Conference, fostering collaboration among various documentation communities. Previous experience features roles at Syllogist, Cisco, W3C, and Wolfram Research, complemented by a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from Purdue University Northwest.
