Cristina Santarcangelo is currently serving as a QC-Chemical Lab Analyst at Gnosis by Lesaffre since June 2023. Prior experience includes a role as a Visiting Research Fellow at i3S - Instituto de Investigação e Inovação em Saúde, where Cristina developed an in vitro dynamic, cell-based model system for permeability assays. Cristina has also completed a Ph.D. in Nutraceuticals, functional foods, and human health at Università degli Studi di Napoli Federico II, focusing on the development of in vitro model systems to study nutraceutical properties and evaluating micronutrient content in DOP hard cheese. Earlier positions include Scientific Reviewer at European Nutritional Supplements (E.N.S.) Srl and research roles at Università degli Studi di Pavia, where studies centered on sensory changes in chocolate noisette bars. Cristina holds a Master's degree in Pharmaceutical Biotechnology and a Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology from Università di Pavia.
