Yong Miao

Yong has a PhD in polymer chemistry and a lean six-sigma black belt certification. After completing his PhD, Yong worked as a postdoctoral fellow studying glycan chemistry and synthesis methods. He continued his career with a multinational company where he was involved in several different health care manufacturing projects including microencapsulation, formulation, ioprocess development, pilot trial and wastewater treatment. He also managed a local team in a polymer chemistry project and supervised a collaboration with a local university in Shanghai China. Yong has filed several patents in starch-based formulation, which formed the base of new gelatin capsules recently launched by his previous company. In his spare time, Yong likes to play cello, take photos and travel. He has visited more than 20 countries. He also likes to learn new things. He has learned how to ski in Switzerland.
