Thomas Kantermann has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and organizations. Thomas is currently a Member of the Academic Board at the CIBE Center for Innovation, Business, Development & Entrepreneurship, and also serves as the Scientific Director at the Institute for Work and Personnel (iap). Thomas Kantermann received their Abitur degree in 1998 from Städtisches Gymnasium Gütersloh. Thomas then attended Bielefeld University from 1998 to 2003, where they obtained a Diploma in Biology and Psychology. Subsequently, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Chronobiology from Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München, completing their degree in 2008.
Following this, Thomas Kantermann obtained additional certifications including a workshop on "Light, Health and Shift Work" from Bundesanstalt für Arbeitsschutz und Arbeitsmedizin (BAuA) in 2016, a professional teaching course "PROFiL" from LMU Munich in 2015, a language course in the Netherlands from the University of Groningen in 2012, a Mind-Mapping course from Ludwig-Maximilians University Munich in 2008, a Cochrane workshop on evidence-based medicine from Cochrane Institute Freiburg in 2006, a Methods-Factory course on lecture methods from the University of Rostock in 2005, and a rhetoric course applying theatre methods from the University of Rostock in 2005.
Thomas Kantermann later pursued a Habilitation in Medical Psychology from Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München, completing the degree in 2016.
