Kalina MacKay is currently the Digital PR Manager at Go Fish Digital. Prior to this, they were a Public Relations Team Member at Home Is Where The Heels Are from August 2019 to December 2019. There, they planned and executed a marketing campaign that reached over 80% of UNC's student body, brainstormed and hosted various in-person events, and facilitated partnerships with several local businesses and brand ambassadors.
From May 2019 to December 2019, Kalina was a Digital Marketing Intern at Go Fish Digital where they built promotional strategies for tangential content campaigns for various clients, developed outreach lists and messages for a variety of campaigns, and earned coverage on national outlets such as Mental Floss, Yahoo, MSN, Food52, House Beautiful, and Food Network, and local outlets such as the Des Moines Register, the Orlando Sentinel, the Detroit Free Press and the Saint Cloud Times.
Prior to their time at Go Fish Digital, Kalina was a Marketing Intern at the Law Offices of James Scott Farrin from August 2018 to December 2018.
Kalina MacKay has a Bachelor of Arts in Media and Journalism from the UNC School of Media and Journalism and a Bachelor of Arts in Media and Journalism (Strategic Communication) and Sociology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Kalina also has certification from Muck Rack in Fundamentals of Media Relations, PR Council in PR Council Agency-Ready Certification, Google in Advanced Google Analytics, and HubSpot Academy in Email Marketing Certification and Social Media Certification.
