Shanying (Eric) Chen has extensive work experience in finance and accounting. Shanying (Eric) started their career at PwC, where they held various roles, including Assurance Manager at the Beijing office and Assurance Manager at the US National Office. At both positions, they focused on complex accounting and SEC reporting issues. Shanying (Eric) then served as an Assurance Senior Manager at the San Jose office, where they led engagements for SEC public/IPO clients.

In 2017, Chen joined Coupa Software as the Corporate Controller. In this role, they defined accounting policies, processes, and internal controls, and supported the launch or upgrade of accounting-related systems and tools. After five years at Coupa Software, they joined Birdeye as the VP of Corporate Controller. There, they led a globally distributed accounting team, scaled the company's global operations, and transformed the Quote to Cash processes by upgrading systems, integrating tools, and redesigning processes and controls.

Currently, Chen is employed at Go1 as the SVP of Corporate Controller.

Shanying (Eric) Chen holds a Master's degree in Accounting and Business/Management from the University of International Business and Economics, earned between the years 2000 and 2003. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Business/Management from the Central University of Finance and Economics, completed from 1996 to 2000. Additionally, they possess an active California CPA License granted by the CALIFORNIA BOARD OF ACCOUNTANCY.
