Juan Carlos Hernandez has worked in various roles in the education sector. Juan Carlos started as a Corp member with Teach for America in 2013 and then worked as a Bilingual Self-Contained Teacher for Fort Worth ISD from 2013 to 2017. Juan Carlos increased student engaging through successful teaching strategies and data trackers while they were a Self-Contained teacher. Juan Carlos then worked as an Assistant Principal for Fort Worth ISD from 2017 to 2019 where they led professional learning communities and implemented an attendance program that resulted in better student engagement.
Juan Carlos then served as an Academic Dean for Uplift Education from 2019 to 2021. Later, they worked with Newsela as an Assessment Associate from 2021 to 2022 and then as an Assessment Specialist from 2022 to 2023. Currently, they work for Goalbook as a District and School Customer Success.
Juan Carlos Hernandez completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Neuroscience at Lafayette College from 2009 to 2013. Juan Carlos went on to earn a Master's degree in the Science of Education at The Johns Hopkins University from 2014 to 2016, and then a Master's degree in Educational Leadership at Texas Christian University from 2016 to 2018.
