Justin Kan has been involved in a number of companies since 2004. Justin began their career as an intern at Russell Investment Group, where they made a lot of spreadsheets. In 2005, they co-founded Kiko Software Inc. In 2006, they founded Justin.tv / Twitch. In 2012, they became the CEO and Founder of Exec, an online to offline errand running service which was sold to Handy in 2014. In 2014, they became a Partner at Y Combinator. In 2017, they became the CEO at Atrium. In 2020, they became the General Partner at Goat Capital, Co-Founder at The Quest Media, and Co-Founder at Fractal.is. In 2021, they became Co-Founder at Rye.

Justin Kan attended Yale University from 2001 to 2005, where they studied Physics and Philosophy.
