Amey Kusurkar

Amey Kusurkar has a diverse range of work experience spanning various roles and industries. They joined GoCardless in 2017 as a Software Engineering Intern and later transitioned to a full-time role as a Software Engineer. In 2021, they were promoted to the position of Senior Software Engineer.

Before GoCardless, Amey worked as an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant at Imperial College London, where they provided support and guidance to students. They also had experience as a Tutor at Math Vision Enrichment Centre, where they taught Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry to IGCSE and IB students. In this role, Amey developed alternative teaching methods, designed examination papers, and focused on improving students' weak areas.

Prior to their academic and software engineering roles, Amey served in the Singapore Armed Forces as a Combat Engineer. In this role, they were responsible for creating safe passage for infantry forces by clearing obstacles and navigating challenging terrains. They also received training in marksmanship, leadership, combat, and survival skills.

Amey Kusurkar pursued their Master of Engineering - MEng degree in Computer Science from Imperial College London between 2014 and 2018. Prior to that, from 2006 to 2011, they studied at Anglo-Chinese School (Independent) and completed their International Baccalaureate.
